Question: Do you go to culinary festivals like Winterlicious?

Please feel free to comment on the results. What do you like about culinary festivals? Or, if you don’t go to culinary festivals, why not? Is it because it’s difficult to get reservations?

(from the webitor) I think festivals like Winterlicious and its summer counterpart, Summerlicious are great ways for restaurants to promote themselves, especially to the crowds that wouldn’t go to these places if the prices weren’t $35 for a three course dinner. While the selection isn’t always that big, I’ve found, at least at the places I’ve been to, the food to be amazing. I didn’t get a chance to go to Winterlicious 2008, but I’m definitely planning to attend Summerlicious!
