Most people want bag charge at stores

Last Week, Prospere Magazine asked: To be more “green-aware,” stores in Toronto will start charging 5 cents per plastic bag in June.  Was this a good decision?

The results were as follows:

65% said: Yes!  This will make people bring their own non-disposable bags when they shop.

4.3% said: I’m not sure.  What’s going to happen if you don’t have your own bags, yet don’t have enough money?

26.1% said: I’m not too sure if it’s going to reduce anything.  Some people will just pay the extra money.

0.0% said: Um, does the government have the right to tell stores how much they charge for product?

4.3% said: Other.

This week’s question: Have you been more careful with your holiday spending this year?
