Last week, Prospere Magazine asked its readers if they remembered where they were when they heard that Kurt Cobain died. I had not expected the results to be so varied – I had thought that it would skew one way or another. However, this was what we found:
23.8% said: Yes, I remember very well. It’s one of those “OMG” moments, even for non-fans.
33.3% of you said: No, not really. I was too young to really know about Kurt Cobain and Nirvana’s impact in the 1990s.
28.6% said: No, not at all.
14.3% said: Who was Kurt Cobain?
Are you surprised by these results? Were you a Nirvana fan? Personally, I never really paid much attention to Nirvana – I was only 14 years old back then, but I can definitely tell you where I was when I heard. I had just been picked up from school and my mom and I were stopping by a drug store to pick up a few things before heading home. We had just pulled into the parking lot and they announced it on the radio.
