Karen Kowelaski and business partner, Darcy Messenio launched Fashion Flips, a line of practical, fashionable bags in 2005. Though their early creations focused on reversibility, but as they became more experienced, they realized that their pieces needed to be more versatile – women want practicality, after all.
Recently, they launched their new line of bags, called the Purse-n-All Expressions™ Five-in-One™ Handbag System (left image) and Five-in-One™ Laptop System (right), a larger bag with padding to protect the computer. The bags consists of a zipper base and a reversible Flip Cover™, which gives each bag five different looks. The bag owner can wear it plain, without the flip cover (bags are either chocolate brown or ebony black), with the flip cover (the flip covers are reversible, so there are two different looks) or use the flip covers alone as bags (again, two different looks.)
The bags are loved by man, especially women who want to be creative. With several different covers, women can put together many more styles than the standard five. One satisfied owner with several covers and belts finds herself creating different looks to go with what she is wearing. The bags are made in the US by people who are earning a living wage.
Currently, the bags are available for sale online and at these stores. Bases are $59 US ($99 for laptop bags) and flip covers are $32. For laptop bags, purchasers have a choice of ribbon colour as well.
