As a little girl, GISH Girls in Skirts founder, Susan Bosley wanted to “live in the city.” This wish was granted when she went to college at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. After graduation, she worked in design at Ralph Lauren for a few years before came to Canada, to work in its marketing department. Her position at Ralph Lauren was soon followed by a stint with Calvin Klein before she launched GISH.
GISH, a line of comfortable skirts, dresses and tops, have received rave reviews since its launch just over four years ago. Wedding Bells magazine, Canada’s preimere publication for brides to be, proclaimed “perfect for an enagement party or for the beach on your honeymoon,” with styles that range from outfits one can wear to dinner to Susan also describes the as being “scoochable,” which according to an interview, means that it can “adjust” to a figure which has slightly changed. This is the beauty of GISH. Whether you are smaller or not-so-small, GISH is made to make a woman look and feel great.
GISH is currently available in over 20 stores in Ontario as well as a few in the United States. The outfits range from size 2 to size 16, with prices between $80 and $240.
