Leah Andrew and Andrea Lown
If you’re planning DIY makeup for your wedding, stop in at one of the many makeup counters at your local department store. Tell the makeup artist you are interested in learning how to do a neutral yet elegant and sophisticated look for your big day. Ask for tips on subtle enhancements of your best features using a palette you may already have in your makeup bag. Most mall makeup artists will provide tips and do your face for free, or for a nominal charge. While they are doing your makeup, ask them to talk you through their application, and write down what they’re doing, so you can remember it and practice on your own. Be sure to take pictures of yourself while the makeup is fresh including close ups of your eyes.
If the idea of doing your own makeup on your big day fills you with dread, never fear, SmartBrideBoutique.ca has you covered! Check out our blog post full of great tips to consider when looking for a professional.
If you already know you want a professional for your big day, consider getting your make up down with BeautyMarkz.
