Yvette Craddock, founder and style director of StyleFolioJewelry.com has been in love with fashion industry since she was a child model. As a teenager, she started designing her own clothing, which she still does today (while working with a tailor). While she was making these clothes, she realized that she needed accessories to compliment her bold and unique outfits. When she would find jewellery, friends and strangers would often ask her where she bought it – a question which rarely has a one place response.
After five years of doing this, Yvette decided to build a business around accessories which allowed shoppers to find “the piece” from one place and tell their friends about the source. This became Stylefoliojewelry.com. Pieces featured on the site not only include those designed by Yvette herself, but other designers, such as Sherri Jennings and Mary Jane Long.
Collections range from everyday, wear-to-work pieces, weekends as well as evening and bridal. The website not only
has an online shop and allows people to e-mail pieces they like to their friends (note: adding the ability to share on Facebook and other social networking sites is also a good idea – many newspapers and magazines do this already), but also style tips – what types of pieces look best on women with round faces, oval, etc…More tips, including skintone matching will be launched soon.
Ready-to-wear pieces range in price from the mid $100s to as high as the thousands. In addition to ready-to-wear pieces, StyleFolio also offers custom pieces that designers make especially an individual. In order to order such pieces, one must email StyleFolio a photo of the wearer, a budget range as well as contact information. Recommended minimum cost is $175.
