Fashion Week runway from the Fall/Winter shows in March when it was at Nathan Phillips Square
It’s that time of year again! The tents are going up and Toronto is gearing for another week of style, with the Spring/Summer 2010 collections being presented at a new venue. Fashion Week, which for the past several seasons has made its home at Nathan Phillipps Square has moved west to King and Shaw – closer to the fashion district.
The Spring/Summer 2010 shows promises to be exciting. The opening collection, which is off-site at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), is being presented by Sunny Fong’s VAWK line. Sunny was the second winner of Project Runway Canada, which aired earlier this year. Other Project Runway Canada alumni with collections this season include Jessica Biffi and Evan Bidell. Fashion Week will continue to celebrate Barbie’s 50th birthday with another Barbie collection by David Dixon. Also, LG Fashion Week will be screening The September Issue, a documentary about putting together the September 2008 issue of Vogue. Tickets for this event is $15 plus tax.
Prospere Magazine will be at LG Fashion Week covering shows all week. Photos of various shows and other events will be posted on a daily basis. Stay tuned next week for Spring/Summer 2010 styles!
