Vermont Couple Carves Solutions with Soaps and Candles

Dawn Lancaster and her husband, Mike, have created a line soaps and candles called Carved Solutions after 20 years of working a 9 to 5 job. Incorporated just over three years ago, the soaps and candles are eco-friendly, custom-created and locally made, the products have an elegant feel and are perfect for gifts this holiday season.
Soaps come in three sizes. The standard ones are 4.5 oz and triple-milled. The CS Simply Organic collections are smaller. The Spa Bar set consists of 25 three ounce bars while the set of 25 Spa Amenity bars are 0.75 oz. The soaps are created in small batches and are cured for nearly one month prior to cutting. Candles are made with 100% palm wax and scented with 100% all-natural essential oils. The wick is 100% cotton. The candles slowly burns into itself, meaning that it can be used as a tea light holder once it burns out. Talk about recycling!
Carved Solutions’ products can be carved or engraved with names, logos or other graphics. Pre-carved candles and soaps are also available and both can be purchased online. Simply choose the product you would like, then pick a font and type in the phrase one wants to appear. Products are usually shipped in two or three business days and prices range between $15 (for a single bar of soap) and $200 (gift sets). Carved Solutions is an officially licensed company for sororities in the National Panhellenic Conference as well as Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service fraternity. In addition to soaps and candles, Carved Solutions also a line of family signs, perfect for use at the cottage or ski lodge.
Carved Solutions has received a great deal of press since its launch. It has been seen in Oprah Magazine, People, InStyle Weddings, The Early Show and Today. Carved Solutions was also distributed by singer Pink at Lisa Marie Presley’s baby shower.
